Paul Casey will give $100,000 to worthy causes in Texas to honour a promise made after his first PGA Tour win.
The Englishman, who finished second to countryman Ian Poulter at the WGC Accenture Matchplay, pledged to help charities in the area after his play-off victory at last year's Shell Houston Open.
He is now ready to make the gift, worth around £65,000, after consukting with local officials to find out which areas required the most help.
"This is something Jocelyn (his wife) and I feel very strongly about," said Casey.
Helping The Caseys to determine where to invest the money has been Houston Golf Association president and chief executive officer Steve Timms.
He said: "When Paul recently informed us of the amount of the donation, you can imagine how excited we got. This is wonderful."
Casey has also dedicated his time and money to help UK-based charities, with the 32-year-old having set up the Paul Casey Foundation, which provides thousands of young people with the chance to develop their skills in a range of sports.
