Long John to be underwear model

John Daly is to front a US-wide advertising campaign for new underwear brand Slix.
Daly, known as 'Long John' among his various nicknames, will endorse the Slix Closer Boxer Briefs.
This comes on the back of increased popularity for colourful trouser brand Loudmouth Golf, after Daly started sporting their products on the course.
Daly, 43, has lost over seven stones since having lap-band surgery a year ago and began to enjoy an upturn in results after appearing to reel in his reportedly wild social life.
The two-time major champion missed the first six months of PGA Tour competition in 2009 after he was banned for generating unwelcome publicity.
He no longer has a PGA Tour Card after failing to amass the required prize money last year, but has made four appearances as a guest on the tour this year so far.
