scottUSGA to hold club rules forum

|
Following a spell in which the rules governing golf club manufacture have come under increasing scrutiny, the USGA has announced its intention to hold a forum on the process of equipment rulemaking in autumn 2010.
All stakeholders in the game, including players, manufacturers, media, golf organisations, are being invited to participate to bring together a wide range of views.
The USGA hopes the forum, to be staged at Golf House in Far Hills, New Jersey, USA, will provide input that can enhance the rulemaking process, such as ironing out procedures for making new equipment rules, changing existing rules and enhancing the process for implementing such changes.
Consideration of the impact of potential rule changes and the balance between technology and player skill are also expected to be discussed in detail.
