Cobra King LTD drivers

Cobra Golf has continued to push boundaries by going all the way to space to complete research for its new Cobra King LTD drivers and fairway woods.

This is the first Cobra driver that you’ll be able to see all the way inside after the brand teamed up with two space companies on a material research investigation that spanned six weeks on the International Space Station.

Like in the Fly-Z and Fly-Z+, a Pro version of the driver will also be launched

Design inspiration from that trip helped to create a SpacePort window on the sole that has allowed Cobra to position the centre of gravity lower, while also making the technology inside the clubhead visible.

The SpacePort features a 16g aerospace grade aluminium dual-purpose weight and translucent port, which let you view the inside of the head.

It has also introduced a ‘Textreme’ carbon fibre crown, which combines with the SpacePort to position weight lower and deeper in clubhead, allowing you to increase your launch angle, lower your spin rate and improve ball speeds across the whole face.

Textreme is 20% stronger than standard carbon fibre and has allowed the crown to be made thinner and lighter. Cobra says all of this comes together to create the lowest CG on the market.

Spiralock thread technology is in there, too, and has been designed to remove the need for additional material inside the clubhead to hold the weight in place.

Before it’s locked, you can use it to fine tune your swing weight on the Cobra King LTD, with a choice of 0-12g Tungsten weights available for selection when it’s built.

On top of that, there are three key internal technologies that all help to lower the head’s centre of gravity position. These include a thin, lightweight 811 titanium face with next generation E9 zoning that removes 10g from the face structure

Like in the Fly-Z, a Pro version of the driver will also be launched, while the new Cobra King LTD fairway wood replicates everything you find in the Cobra King LTD driver in a fairway wood and has been designed to produce ball speeds at the USGA’s legal limit for centre hits.
