One of the strongest fields of young professional golfers in Europe is expected to travel The Carrick for the Motocaddy Masters next month, with the winner standing to win £40,000.

The event will take place on the EuroPro Tour from July 9-11, with golfers competing for the generous prize fund over 54-holes.

Already the tour’s official trolley supplier in 2014, Motocaddy has supported the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour for the past nine seasons, with each winner receiving a new Motocaddy electric trolley in addition to their £10,000 prize money. The company’s marketing manager, Oliver Churcher, is delighted the brand is having such a positive effect on Scottish golf.

“We are pleased to be able to show our continued support.”

Motocaddy is delighted to be sponsoring this prestigious event staged on such an outstanding golf course,” said Churcher. “Our association with the tour and its crop of talented young players has undoubtedly had a positive impact on our brand in recent years and we are pleased to be able to show our continued support.”

The Carrick on Loch Lomond 14th hole

The Carrick

Set on the banks of Loch Lomond, The Carrick is a par-71 course designed by Doug Carrick, on the border of the Scottish lowlands and highlands, with nine holes in each.

Arguably the course’s’ signature hole is the 14th, which has stunning views of the loch. A par-3, golfers hit from an elevated tee to a green guarded by five bunkers. It is easy on the eye, but if you’re not on your game, it may not be too kind to your card.

Coverage of the tournament will be filmed for a two-hour highlights programme to be aired on Sky Sports HD and through other worldwide broadcasters during July.

The top five finishers on the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour’s Order of Merit win an automatic Challenge Tour place next season, plus a spot at Stage Two Qualifying School for the European Tour.
