Odyssey Works Big T

Odyssey has announced the launch of its new Odyssey Works Big T putters, bringing together its Versa and Marxman technologies to create its latest dual alignment putter designs.

Part of the Odyssey Works ‘high performance technology platform’, it features the Fusion RX insert – a White Hot insert with ultra thin stainless steel mesh and patented Metal-X roll pattern – and an innovative dual alignment system to give what Odyssey believes is the ‘ultimate set-up’ over the ball.

Some of Odyssey’s most iconic and successful tour proven head shapes feature in the Big T putter line-up, including the V-Line, V-Line CS, the smaller mallet #5, and the Big T Blade, which has been specifically designed to incorporate the Big T technology.

“Big T is yet another illustration of how our groundbreaking putter designs continue to position Odyssey as the #1 putter brand in golf” Neil Howie, president and managing director of Callaway EMEA

Austie Rollinson, Odyssey’s principal designer, has been responsible for all of the company’s putter creations since 1998 and he said: “Big T represents a significant extension of our Versa Technology that uses contrasting alignment stripes to help line up a putt.

“We have found some players like perpendicular Versa alignment, and some prefer parallel stripes, so in Big T we offer golfers both way, or, the best of both worlds.

“With Big T, we’ve taken our truly legendary White Hot insert, the best feeling, best selling, with the most tour wins, and married it to unbelievable new dual alignment technology in some of our most trusted head shapes.”

The Big T technology has already been put in play by many of the brand’s European Tour professionals, with both Matteo Manassero and Kristoffer Broberg putting the Big T #5 in play for the first time at the Irish Open.

‘Odyssey sets a technology standard’

Neil Howie, president and managing director of Callaway EMEA, said: “The Odyssey brand sets a technology standard others seek to follow and Big T is yet another illustration of how our groundbreaking putter designs continue to position Odyssey as the #1 putter brand in golf, with nearly double the wins of its nearest competitor to date on the European Tour.

The Odyssey Works Big T putters will be available at retail from June 12. To learn more about Big T technology and other products in the Odyssey range, visit odysseygolf.com
