Sun Mountain reveals new 2017 bags

American premium golf bag brand Sun Mountain has launched its new range for 2017, headlined by its new flagship Superlite bag and Leather Collection line.

With seven new bags launched in total, the Sun Mountain H2NO Superlite bag is both lightweight and waterproof. Weighing just 1.8kg, it retains many of the tried-and-tested features of its top-selling models with new additions the brand says has improved performance and made it easier to use.

Those new features include a wider top with four full-length club dividers and a new lift assist lip under the ball pocket.

The X-strap dual strap system can be combined with a Zero-Gravity hip-pad to give a comfortable carry. YKK zips are used to keep water from seeping in and you can choose from one of four eye-catching colours.

The new Sun Mountain Leather Collection is designed for golfers who want both functionality and style in their stand bag.

Like the H2NO Superlite, it comes in a choice of four colours – black/tan, dark brown/khaki, navy/white/red, and black/cobalt. Unlike the H2NO Superlite, it has been crafted using 100% Mongolian yak leather.

Its offering is completed by the five accessory pockets and leather-wrapped four-way top with full-length club dividers and an adjustable shoulder strap.

Alongside the new additions, Sun Mountain has made improvements to several bags from its 2016 range.

The new Four5 LS weighs 10% less than last year’s Four5, while the Three5 LS is also lighter by 30%, tipping the scales at just 1.75kg.

Every bag in the Sun Mountain 2017 range, apart from the ultra-lightweight Two5, is compatible with the brand’s innovative Zero-Gravity technology.

It works to move the weight of the bag from the shoulders to the waist, greatly reducing the strain on the back and fatigue.

The H2NO Superlite and the other bags in the waterproof range are available from November. The remaining new models will become available in early 2017 with the Leather Collection on sale in March 2017.
