Tiger Woods returns to action this week at the Hero World Challenge after a long injury layoff and he does so with some brand new clubs in the bag.
The 14-time major champion recently split with former coach Sean Foley before taking on Chris Como in a consultancy role and it appears he is making it a fresh start in other aspects of his game as he enters this week with a host of new gear in his bag.
Vapor Speed driver and fairway woods
Fellow Nike athlete Rory McIlroy has enjoyed phenomenal driving distances since putting the Vapor Speed in the bag at the Ryder Cup, and Tiger will be looking for more of the same as he puts a Vapor Speed Prototype driver in the bag this week. Nike says it has improved his stability and, per his request, the return of the compression channel.
Alongside the driver, Tiger rounds out an all-new set of woods with Vapor Speed 3- and 5-woods, with the 3-wood performing especially well off the tee in his testing.
Vapor Speed irons
As Nike’s Modern Muscle design insight started with Tiger, it’s only fitting he’s putting the Vapor Pro irons in play this week.
RZN Black golf balls
Finally, Tiger is gaming a brand new golf ball this week. In the past he has played with his own custom golf ball, but has now put his confidence in Nike’s latest RZN technology by teeing up the new RZN Black ball, which Nike says has improved feel around the greens and increased ball speed off the tee.
