This is an exclusive first look at the new Nike VR_S Covert Tour 2.0 driver that is currently going through the seeding process on tour.

As we were talking to the guys outside the Nike tour truck at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, we got the chance to have a look at the new Nike VR_S Covert Tour 2.0 driver, and it looks rather nice.

While details will remain sketchy until the official release, the noticeable difference is definitely in the new graphics scheme. The paint job has changed from that found on the 2013 VR_S Covert and Covert Tour drivers with the cavity-back area now surrounded with white paint, making it more distinctive. The cavity back returns as the main feature of the club, and it appears larger than last year’s model which will further increase forgiveness on mishits.

Like the 2013 model, it features Nike’s FlexLoft technology, ensuring easy adjustability to find the right settings for you. Although this is a lower-spinning Tour version, there will undoubtedly be a higher-spinning performance model that will enter the market to suit those of us who don’t have the swing speed of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.
