Fashion brand cuts ribbon on capital’s newest luxury golfwear store

Window shopping: The newly opened Golfino Edinburgh store is located on the exclusive Multrees Walk

Golf apparel brand Golfino is celebrating the opening of its new store in Edinburgh, its first in Scotland and 39th across Europe.

Situated on the exclusive Multrees Walk in Edinburgh, it is the latest in a long line of store openings in cosmopolitan locations, including Paris, Berlin, Munich, Zurich, Marbella and Palma.

Just a short walk from St Andrews Square, an area of the capital known for its national and international retailers, it will showcase Golfino’s collection of stylish, comfortable and functional performance golfwear.

As well as Golfino Edinburgh, the brand’s products are available in prestigious resort and golf course stockists in Scotland, including Archerfield Links, Turnberry, Carnoustie and the Old Course Hotel.

Upon the opening of the new store, Andrew Thomson, Golfino director of sales for Northern Europe, said: “Scotland is a hugely important region for Golfino and we have been keen to establish a standalone retail presence which complements our strong on-course business that has developed over a number of years.

“The new store sits alongside some of the world’s greatest designer brands, including Louis Vuitton, Mulberry and Emporio Armani and is part of a wider strategy to create a strong Golfino presence in strategically important locations across the UK.”

Founded in 1986 by Christel and Dr Bernd Kirsten, Golfino has grown into one of Europe’s sportswear success stories – increasing sales of its women’s, men’s and children’s clothing by 11% to €33.5m in its latest financial year.

In addition to its standalone stores, Golfino boasts 500 shop-in-shop partners across 18 European countries, including Harods in London.
