D2 and D3 models make up the brand new 913 big stick range

Serious golfers can look forward to “more performance with the most precise fit available” after the launch of the Titleist 913D2 and 913D3 drivers.

Like the previous 910 models, they feature the SureFit Tour hosel, allowing the user to choose from a number of independent lie and loft configurations.

However, with a new, high-speed, forged face insert, Titleist says the 913 has a hotter launch and is more consistent.

The inclusion of a new SureFit Tour weight at the rear of the sole has also helped to create a more forgiving driver in the 913 through centre of gravity optimisation.

“The new 913D2 and 913D3 drivers offer the highest performance of any adjustable drivers on the market, particularly when it comes to speed and forgiveness,” said Dan Stone, vice president of research and development, Titleist Golf Clubs.

“Every serious golfer, from tour players to amateurs of all skill levels, will experience more distance potential and better driving performance with 913.”

Among the differences between the pair is the D3’s 445cc classic pear-shaped head, as opposed to the 460cc full pear-shaped head of the D2.

Weight saving measures have allowed engineers to create the same launch and spin characteristics for each head, which means the choice for consumers becomes which shape they prefer and how workable they would like their driver to be (D3 more workable, D2 more forgiving).

A range of five shafts is being made available for the 913 to cover a wide range of players and swing speeds, four of these being aftermarket shafts.

They are: Mitsubishi Diamana +Plus White, Mitsubishi Diamana +Plus Blue, Mitsubishi Titleist Bassara W, Aldila RIP Pehnom and the Aldila RIP Alpha.

Confident about the future success of Titleist’s latest driver launch, the general manager of Titleist golf clubs, Steve Pelisek, said “The new 913 drivers further define our commitment and success in providing players with the game’s highest performing clubs with preferred looks, sound and feel.

“Our previous generation 910 drivers proved to be the most innovative drivers in our history. With 913, we’ve raised the bar even higher.”
