Just a matter of months after officially reopening, Adare Manor has scooped a major international accolade.

The five-star hotel and golf resort in Limerick has been declared ‘Hotel of the Year 2018’ in the Virtuoso ‘Best of the Best Awards 2018’. The ceremony in Las Vegas brought the curtain down on Virtuoso Travel Week, the world’s largest luxury travel trade show.

Adare Manor CEO Colm Hannon said that the award would be taken back to Ireland with “great pride”.

“The entire team at Adare Manor are absolutely delighted and very honoured to be voted ‘Hotel of the Year 2018’ by the most prestigious group of agents from around the world,” he added. “We are delighted to receive this worldwide recognition, as it is testament to the wonderful resort we have and its special surroundings, which were meticulously restored and enhanced with newly designed features, following significant investment from its owners.”

Adare Manor

Adare Manor reopened last November after an extensive restoration, refurbishment and expansion programme over 21 months, that has included a new Tom Fazio designed golf course.

The newly designed luxury resort now features a new 42-bedroom wing, bringing the total number to 104 bedrooms. The Spa at Adare Manor is Ireland and the UK’s first and only La Mer Spa, making it one of only 11 La Mer spas worldwide.

The course, meantime, has re-opened to rave reviews and is being widely tipped to stage the 2026 Ryder Cup.
