RCB has skills!

While shooting with Titleist in Abu Dhabi yesterday, the Spaniard put on a little display to prove that he’s just as handy doing trick shots as any of the guys famous for doing so on Instagram.

First he putted facing away from his short stick with it between his legs…

Then, he flicked the ball over his head with the putter and off it trickled into the bottom of the cup.

Sorry Stevie G

No, not Stephen Gallacher – but ex-England and Liverpool footballer Steven Gerrard, who was recently refused a membership at Hillside Golf Club. Why you may ask? Well, Gerrard’s off-field misdemeanours – he was recorded on CCTV allegedly involved in a street brawl in August 2013 – have had a significant effect, with it being claimed that Hillside didn’t want the midfielder, who now plays for LA Galaxy, ‘shaming’ its reputation. Hillside member and Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish, who recommended Gerrard apply to join, was reportedly ‘fuming’. Waste Management Phoenix Open - Round Two

Allenby unscathed on Hawaii return

Last year, Robert Allenby hit the headlines where he alleged that he was kidnapped at the Sony Open in Hawaii after missing the cut the previous day. The Aussie claimed he was abducted from a wine bar, robbed, beaten and dumped in a park that night, with a two-and-a-half hour spell of having ‘no memory in the brain’. Thankfully though, he seems to have left Hawaii unscathed this year, although he did miss the cut again by four shots. EurAsia Cup presented by DRB-HICOM - Day Two

Katayama’s warm-up routine

With action on through the night over here and such a landslide victory in the end, in truth there wasn’t a lot to get excited about in this year’s edition of the EurAsia Cup. But, here at bunkered, we were mesmerised by Shingo Katayama’s warm-up routine, which can be seen below (he’s right-handed, btw).

Table tennis triumph

Another thing we got excited about, away from the golf course, was this video from Kristoffer Broberg’s girlfriend, Ladies European Tour player Camilla Lennarth, who recorded Broberg and Soren Kjeldsen facing Ian Poulter and Shane Lowry at table tennis.

Can you tell who won?

Bryson’s brilliant balance

Bryson De Chambeau makes his second start on the European Tour this week – and he’s been practising in unique style.

The 22-year-old amateur, who is famed for wearing a Hogan cap and the fact that all of his irons and wedges are the same length, showed that he has pretty exceptional balance with this display of tightrope walking. Can you imagine seeing a video of Tiger or Phil doing this?

Augusta-bound at 16…

That dream came true for teenager Paul Chaplet after he won the Latin American Amateur just six years after picking up a golf club for the first time.

The Costa Rican, who arrived at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic only ‘expecting to shoot under par’, left with much more than that, ensuring his place at Augusta, where he’ll become one of the youngest players to compete in the tournament’s history, alongside the likes of Tianlang Guan, who was 14, and Matteo Manassero, who was 16 when he first played in 2009.
