The name’s Woods. Tiger Woods.
When you’re Tiger Woods, you can get most things you want. For example, a private screening of the new James Bond film for ‘friends and family’. The 14-time major winner – laid up after having more back surgery last month – tweeted about getting to see Spectre, the 24th film in the 007 franchise, over the weekend. Seems he liked it, too…
The film hits cinemas from today. We’re quite excited about it, so have rather gratuitously included the trailer below:

The ranking’s bad. Very bad.
Speaking of T-Dub, he fell another 17 places on the Official World Golf Rankings this week. He’s now 351st, one place ahead of this guy…
What do you mean you’ve never heard of Bronson Burgoon?!

Lydia’s perfect ten
Stop what you’re doing for a minute and dwell on this: Lydia Ko is 19-years-old. Yesterday, she won for the tenth time on the LPGA. That nine-shot – NINE! – win in Taiwan propelled her back to the top of the Rolex Women’s World Rankings. Did someone say ‘phenom’? So, so good.
Cue now-customary ‘I’m-taking-a-selfie-but-really-I’m-not-it’s-just-me-and-the-cameraman-being-clever’ winner’s picture…

Gone but not forgotten
Yesterday, October 25, marked 16 years since three-time major winner Payne Stewart was killed in a plane crash. Feels like as good a time as any to revisit this great moment from the 1999 US Open.

Insert generic ‘This cake looks awesome’ headline here
Check out the cool birthday cake Hollywood beauty Reese Witherspoon (Legally Blonde, Walk The Line) made for her son’s 12th birthday. He’s a bit of a golf nut, apparently.

And finally…
Lewis Hamilton won the F1 drivers’ world championship for the second successive year. Guess that means we can forget about a golfer winning the BBC ‘Sports Personality of the Year’ award again this year…
Oi! You! Yes, you!
