Ever wondered how you could get your hands on a trophy from the tour? Look no further, as a win in the Dalmahoy Driving Range Championships will mean you get your hands on the old Ladies Scottish Open trophy.

After a successful event in 2013, the Driving Range Championships returns for a second year and is designed to help you get to the heart of game improvement and help you take your improved skills from the range to the golf course.

Taking place over a six-week period, the competition features challenges that will test all aspects of your game.

“Your real game will show up under a little bit of competitive stress, you will learn tools and techniques to get you in a performance zone and let your true potential shine.” – Scott Dixon

Each week you will take part in six challenges with 10 balls in each challenge. You will then be given a total score out of 60 each session, with half of your handicap added your weekly score.

The best first and second handicap scores and the best scratch score will win a weekly prize, with the overall winner receiving a trophy and the title of Driving Range Golf Champion.

Coach Scott Dixon, who founded the event last year, will be on hand to guide you through the competitive six weeks at Dalmahoy’s covered and heated driving range. Dixon will also hold a clinic on one of the challenges each week before giving you some extra time and balls to stay and practice.

Dixon said: “Taking our game and the improvements we make on the range to the course is sometimes difficult, but I believe we have an event here that ticks a lot of boxes. It will not only keep your game sharp throughout the winter, it will help you develop a lot of the skills you need to play better golf.

“Your real game will show up under a little bit of competitive stress, you will learn tools and techniques to get you in a performance zone and let your true potential shine.”
