Golfing Gertie products put lady golfers first

A new website aimed specifically towards showcasing new and innovative women’s golf products has been launched with great initial success.

In January this year, Golfing Gertie was unveiled with the goal of creating a community of lady golfers who are involved in the design and creation of new products and golfing experiences.

The idea came about in summer 2014 when a group of golfing friends were discussing the lack of interesting and fun products for female golfers, highlighting particular frustrations such as the choice of colours in accessories, the lack of imagination in product design and the limited choice of affordable good quality clothing available.

As a result, Golfing Gertie was born as a brand that creates new products that can be easily bought both online and through partners. The company’s first release was the Gertie Brolly, addressing the key areas of frustrations women have with golf umbrellas, which are too big, too heavy, too black and don’t all fit trolley umbrella holders.

The Brolly is lightweight, storm proof, has slim handles, fits perfectly into umbrella holders and comes in four vibrant colours: blue, green, purple and red.

So successful was the Gertie Brolly that the company’s online community requested Gertie Gloves, voting on its design which matches with that of the Brolly, while the gloves also come with a magnetic ball marker.

Following the success of the two products, Golfing Gertie are working on partnerships to expand and create more products in the future.
