THE MASTERS

Recent history suggests that very few players can chase down Jordan Spieth and win The Masters.

Here’s why. Over the past ten Masters, five champions have had either a lead or a share of it after 54 holes, with the worst-placed champion sitting in fourth heading into Sunday – Bubba Watson (2012) and Zach Johnson (2007).

In addition to that, all of the winners who have been behind have done so from four shots or less, meaning if you were to take into account this year’s field, everyone up to those on one-under-par – Lee Westwood, Brandt Snedeker and Soren Kjeldsen – stands a chance.

Here’s a full breakdown of the past ten Masters champions and how they performed in the final round.
