Just 15 minutes from Glasgow city centre, Williamwood is a welcoming club that has undergone significant changes in recent years.
A James Braid design, the course was extended by nearly 200 yards in 2010 with a second par-5 hole built to raise its par to 69. There have also been improvements made to other sections of the course, including a small island wildlife area.
Add into that a new shop with a forward-thinking professional – who has successfully rebuilt the club’s junior and pre junior section with his fun and relaxed approach to coaching youngsters – and more than 750 members creating a very busy social scene, it’s clear that the club has a lot going for it.

Out on the course, the front nine boasts three wonderful par-3s, one of which – the fourth at just 123 yards – offers the best chance to get a birdie on your scorecard early in your round.
The back nine is where things toughen up though, measuring more than 300 yards longer than the front nine. With numerous membership and payment options available, Williamwood is one of Glasgow’s best options for golf.
