THE RENAISSANCE CLUB

Golfers are being invited to sample the experience of The Renaissance Club in East Lothian courtesy of a ‘Season Opening’ Dinner.

Taking place on Friday, May 1, visitors will enjoy a three-course menu, starting with a complimentary glass of champagne paired with a delicious amuse bouche, followed by mouth watering choices from a three-course menu, prepared by the club’s Michelin-trained head chef, Enrico Gusella.

After dinner, you will then be able to relax by the bar in the luxurious surroundings of the club or take the opportunity to look around the facility, which is not usually open to the public.

At the end of the evening, complementary transportation will also be laid on to local destinations and to St Andrew’s Square, Edinburgh, leaving The Renaissance Club at 11pm.

A club spokesperson said: “As this event marks the start of the golfing season at The Renaissance Club, we recommend early booking to avoid disappointment.” Accommodation is also available on request. Tickets for the event are priced at £45 per person.

A new, 34,000sq/m clubhouse was also introduced ahead of the 2013 Open Championship.

The Renaissance Club is one of the newest additions to East Lothian’s fantastic golfing portfolio.

Located within the Archerfield Estate, just a short drive from North Berwick, The Renaissance Club opened to great acclaim in 2008.

A recent £5m investment improved the overall quality of both the Tom Doak-designed golf course – with three new holes coming into play – and the facilities that complement it. A new, 34,000sq/m clubhouse was also introduced ahead of the 2013 Open Championship at the club’s next-door neighbour, Muirfield.

In total, £20m has been invested in the club by its owners, the Sarvadi family, as well as private members and individual investors.
