There are few things more synonymous with Scotland than golf but whisky is one thing of that fits expertly into that category.

A popular drink of choice for golfers up and down the country, Royal Salute is a brand of Scotch whisky produced by Chivas Brothers, a company founded in 1801 in Aberdeen.

The Royal Salute brand’s home is Strathisla Distillery in Speyside and the Chivas Brothers first launched it on June 2, 1953 in tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on the day of her coronation.

Named after the traditional 21 gun salute, all Royal Salute whiskies are aged for a minimum of 21 years, which allows the whisky to develop a rich and complex flavour.

Royal Salute has announced the release of ‘Stories of Power & Grace’, the first in a series of short films celebrating the power, grace and beauty of the horse.

The above film is the first instalment in a series to be produced by Royal Salute and has been created to enhance the link between its exceptional whisky and the equine world, which Royal Salute holds close to its heart.

It is set channel the philosophy of the brand through a new medium as Royal Salute looks to engage with a larger target audience and receive international recognition for its campaign.

Neil Macdonald, global brand director for Royal Salute, said: “Power and Grace perfectly sum up the style of Royal Salute whisky and extend to create an engaging story about the powerful bond between man and horse.”
