You don’t have to look far on social media to unearth a troll. These so-called ‘keyboard warriors’ are absolutely everywhere.

What’s their deal? Basically, they’re brave behind a screen because, more often than not, they’re cowards everywhere else.

Faced with one such wise-guy last night, Ryder Cup star Sergio Garcia demonstrated a masterclass in handling them.

The Spaniard shot-down and shut-up a chap with the Twitter handle @MickMadrid after he ‘hilariously’ compared his own major record to Garcia’s.

That, @MickMadrid, is what you call ‘getting owned’.

Meanwhile, Sergio will try to climb the Race To Dubai ladder at next week’s WGC-HSBC Champions event in Shanghai. The 35-year-old is currently sitting in 29th place on the rankings, over €2m behind current leader Rory McIlroy.
