There’s been so much talk about him this week and, just two days after reports surfaced that his condition had worsened – before they were quickly refuted by his agent – he was at a dinner for Nike players at his restaurant, leaving two in particular suitably impressed.

Being at that Nike dinner last night, Tiger didn’t join his Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III, who himself was enjoying a meal with past US Ryder Cup caddies, as preparation for the match at Hazeltine continues.

Meanwhile, opposite number Darren Clarke had far more important things on his agenda…

Clarke’s fellow Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy was criticised for his excessive gym work by analyst Brandel Chamblee late last week, and continued to defy his comments with this video of his core workout.

Bubba Watson was the eventual winner of the Northern Trust Open, but the ceremony was interrupted with his daughter Dakota keen to join in on the action. Pretty cute, huh?

How about a tweet from 18-time major winner Jack Nicklaus? That’s what happened to Scotland’s own Catriona Matthew after tying for the lead after the second round of the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open.

Sadly though, Matthew finished T9, but I’m sure it was great to get a tweet from Nicklaus nonetheless!
