Social Eyes

Welcome to Social Eyes. This week we found out a lot about what you do with your Olympic medal after you leave the ceremony.

Gold medal winner Justin Rose swapped out his Magic Tree air freshener for this in the car home.

Bronze medallist Matt Kuchar was so proud of his medal he refused to even take it off to sleep.

I'm not sure if I was too tired or I just did not want to change last night!

Justin Rose’s manager made a popular suggestion for the Englishman’s new ball marker. Who wouldn’t do this?

Bubba Watson was absolutely loving life in Rio and he may have won the prize for making the most new friends. He even took selfies with them all. Keep your eyes peeled for some particularly big names.

Going by the look of those beds, though, he may be looking forward to a good night’s sleep when he gets home.

Meanwhile, South African Jaco Van Zyl has hot-footed it from Rio to the Czech Republic to play in this week’s Czech Masters.

He still found the time to tweet a statement about how much his Olympic experience had meant to him. Well worth missing two majors apparently.

Chris Wood may have taken this week to enjoy some rest and relaxation, but he still found time to show off his impressive football skills. We’ll just assume he meant to finish in the pool.

Beef may not have been on the golf course this week but he still found time to make us laugh. Here he is mimicking cricket legend W. G. Grace. The resemblance is uncanny!

First we had the Beef and Arby’s tie in, now Smylie Kauffman has signed the latest sponsor deal we’d all love to have.

His new Natural Light deal (think Bud Light, Coors Light) might suggest we’re in for a particularly entertaining week when SB2K17 comes around.

Gary Player happened upon this Kenyan man in Rio. Perhaps Mr Player is sending a message to the golfers that withdrew from the event.

Not funny I know but we could not help getting a kick out of this…#rio2016 #zika #olympics #brazil

Michelle Wie helped Tiger Woods celebrate the first anniversary of his Woods Jupiter restaurant this week. She even had a caricature drawn on the night. We can’t tell if she’s happy with it or not.

Fun night at the Woods Jupiter 1 year anniversary tonight and I even got my caricature drawing #TheWoodsJupiter

Not sure what the relevance of the car is in this Instagram post from Paula Creamer, but those are some sweet wheels she’s got in her drive!

And finally…

Wayne Rooney helped Manchester United get their season off to a flying start at the weekend. On Monday, he could be found at Mottram Hall showing off his skills on the golf course. He’s sticking with the Nike Covert 2.0 driver, too.
