Cornwall golf resort St Mellion has launched a business initiative that it hopes will help secure the future of the resort for years to come.

The scheme, called ‘Extra For Me’, is a new benefits platform available exclusively to St Mellion members, which gives up to 12% savings on gift vouchers and gift cards from many of the country’s leading retailers including Asda, Argos, Boots, Marks & Spencer, New Look, PizzaExpress, and House of Fraser.

Members can make massive savings on everything from fashion, travel, groceries, the latest electronics, healthcare, a great meal experience and more.

For every £100 of gift cards and vouchers bought they save up to £12. Those savings are then banked with the club to pay toward the cost of the individual’s membership fee for the coming year.

Austin Wood, of St Mellion International Resort, said: “We view this as a great member recruitment and retention tool. Recent statistics show that the average British household spends nearly £100 a week on shopping.

“Based on those figures, if only 500 of St Mellion’s 900 members receive an average of 5% discount buying through Extra For Me, then it would generate annual savings for them in excess of £130,000.”

Members simply login with their unique user ID, make their selection, and the saving is automatically credited towards their next year’s club fees. Members can elect to have the gift vouchers and gift cards delivered either to their club or home address within 48 hours.

The platform is developed and operated on behalf of St Mellion by Jordan Media and is provided, together with a comprehensive launch pack, completely free of charge.
