Winter Offer :: Largs Golf Club

2015 11 Largs Golf Club Pro Day 516

Situated on the Firth of Clyde with spectacular views over the Isle of Cumbrie towards the Isle of Arran, Largs GC is the perfect place to enjoy some golf this winter.

The course at Largs is rather unusual in that, although it is situated on the coast, it has all the features of a fine inland parkland course. While not being a long course at just over 6,100 yards, it calls for good course management and its manicured greens and lush fairways are the envy of other clubs.

It’s no surprise then that Largs is consistently rated as the best conditioned course in the west of Scotland, with its meandering burns and tree-lined doglegs offering a rewarding challenge for golfers of all abilities.

The course is in great shape during the winter months as greens staff do a scheduled aeration programme in late August every year - they're still being hand-cut! This ensures surfaces are of the highest quality through the winter. Even though it is a parkland layout, being so close to the sea provides excellent natural drainage and in the latest STRI report the course was awarded tournament standard greens recognition and is one of the driest courses in the area.

This December, play Largs GC for a Christmas Cracker price of just £20 per person - or £60 for a fourball (rate available after 11am).
