Swing Issue - Takeaway
Ross was suffering from a lack of power and distance and tried to overcome it by increasing his shoulder turn. To do this, Ross started to throw the club in behind himself at the takeaway, which can often result in a hook or wild slice, but no more distance. Kevin got Ross back on track by having him start his swing with the hands – giving them a little head start - and not the shoulder as he had been doing. Not only did this get him on the right swing path, but it also increased the potential for longer, straighter drives.
