Have a look below to see the star letter from Issue 75. Star Letters in Issue 75 Dear Bunkered...
I can score well, usually pars and birdies with the odd bogey for several holes, then it’s a seven or eight as I wildly thrash the ball miles out of bounds or into the rough. It’s the consistency I’ve lost from my early days. Then I read the ‘Wheel of Trust’ article in issue 73 and took it to heart. Kevin Craggs takes us back to basics, something most ‘magazine pros’ don’t do, preferring to concentrate on sharpening various aspects of your game and giving you 1001 things to think about during your swing. Not Kevin. “Let’s go back to the simple swing we learned as a kid.” And that’s what I’ve done. Thanks to Kevin’s ‘Wheel of Trust’, I’m hitting the ball further, straighter and, most importantly, consistently. So, here’s to single figures in 2007 and, when I follow this month’s putting tips, my amateur status could be threatened! All hail to King Kevin! Ross Richardson, Aberdeen Editor’s reply: It’s great to hear that Kevin is proving popular with our readers – watch out for some more great tips from him!
