A short-sleeved Ping Collection Jingle Polo Top is on its way to you!

Dear Bunkered...

Re. Mr. A. Maguire’s letter in issue 79. I agree in general with his views that today’s younger golfers – not all of them, I hasten to add – all seem to have a complex. The vogue is to use ‘bling’ clubs and wear clothes that look like escapees from Billy Smarts. But, before the fashion parade on the 1st tee, let’s remember that golf is played with a club 61/2” long – the distance between the ears! Stop copying the pros, give more attention to the game and try to be yourself, while recognising that the harder your practice, the more you’ll get out of it.

Hamish Sanderson, Wakefield

EDITOR’S REPLY: The likes of Poulter and Parnevik certainly influence young golfers and there’s nothing wrong with that. But, as you say, practice is the key in this game.
