6. Hunter Mahan (2008)
What a debut this was! Called up by Paul Azinger, Mahan went unbeaten in his five matches, winning in the first two sessions in partnership with Justin Leonard before halving his next three matches. He finished as Team USA’s top points scorer but that form didn’t carry over into Celtic Manor in 2010, where he won just once and lost the deciding singles match against Graeme McDowell. Record: 2-0-3
