11. The Concession

Certainly the most sporting moment in Ryder Cup history. Having made his par putt, Jack Nicklaus’ opponent Tony Jacklin faced a two-footer for par that would’ve tied the Ryder Cup (USA would retain). However, Nicklaus didn’t allow the opportunity for Jacklin to miss, picking up his coin and extending his hand for a handshake in the first of two draws in Ryder Cup history.
