9. Olazabal’s tears
At the opening ceremony for the 2012 Ryder Cup, both teams paid their respects to Seve Ballesteros, who had died a year earlier from a brain tumour. For European captain and Seve’s close friend Jose Maria Olazabal, it all got a bit too much and he broke down in tears.
