21. 2016 Masters
Due to ill health, it was rumoured prior to the 2016 Masters that Palmer wouldn’t be making the trip to Augusta National. He did, however, but didn’t hit a ceremonial tee shot and subsequently retired from the duty. He received a standing ovation from all those on the first tee, with Nicklaus even shedding a tear at his reception.
