Las Colinas Golf & Country Club, Alicante, Spain has fought off strong competition to be crowned the best golf resort at the International Hotel & Property Awards.

The awards were voted for by the public, and presented in Venice, with Las Colinas being recognised for its outstanding standards in hospitality, interior design and architecture.

Antonio Montoro, vice president of the resort was, understandably, delighted at the news.

“Being voted best Golf Resort by the general public is a fantastic endorsement for the Las Colinas brand,” said Montoro. “Particularly within an enormously competitive category.

“This tremendous honour reflects the high standards and exceptional quality intrinsic to the design of Las Colinas and is credit to the hard work of all members of the team and the commitment to delivering the ‘A World Apart vision’.”

The Golf Resort category not only rewards world-class golf facilities, but considers additional attractions and services that integrate with resorts property.

“The quality of the golf course and adjoining facilities have been central to attracting visitors.”

Managing director of Las Colinas, Cristobal Guerrero, says he’s proud to have the resorts real-estate commended.

“The quality of the golf course and adjoining facilities have been central to attracting international visitors to Las Colinas and instrumental in the early real-estate success of the resort,” said Guerrero.

“This accolade comes on the back of our recently launched plots and villas within the Olivo, Palmera and Enebro communities, and complements the outstanding architectural design of our properties and unique leisure experiences.”
