Lumine Golf Club has made a big impression since it opened for play in 2008 – and, this week, the Spanish facility reached another major milestone, welcoming over 400 golfers across its two championship courses in a single day.

On the back of a record year, in which the resort has already out-performed its forecasted rate of uptake from core European Golf target markets, with increased year-on-year international tour operator rounds up 254%, Lumine Golf Club continues to cement its position as a leading light in the golf industry.

“Four hundred rounds in one day has always been a benchmark number we have been striving to hit and I’m delighted that we have achieved this feat so early into what will be an extremely busy period for us over the coming months,” commented Lumine Golf Club general manager Calle Carlsson. “Our entire team has been working tirelessly to deliver 45 holes of golf in pristine condition along with the very best in service, hospitality and value in the game. It’s these aspects that see increasing numbers of golfers return to us every year.”

Lumine Golf Club will also be the centre of attention next month as aspiring young professionals and seasoned campaigners will battle it out at the Second Stage of European Tour Qualifying School over the Greg Norman designed Lakes course, in hope of securing their playing rights for the 2014 season.

November also sees international tourism suppliers, buyers and media from around the world descend upon Lumine for 16th edition of golf’s premier travel show, the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM).

Elsewhere on the packed calendar of premier events, the PGAs of Europe Fourball Championship returns to Lumine Golf Club from March 1-3, 2014, with the first Nordea Golf Tour event to be held outside the Nordic region also taking place there in late February 2014
