Orizonte Golf hits back of the net

2014 11 Orizonte Golf

Golfers with a passion for football can kick off the 2015 season in style with a Portugal golfer break to remember, including the chance to see the Lisbon derby between Sporting Lisbon and Benfica, thanks to a brand new deal from Orizonte - Lisbon Golf.

The group is offering lovers of both golf and football the chance to enjoy a three night stay in a four-star hotel in the city, two rounds of golf around the Portuguese capital and a ticket to the Derby de Lisboa for just €345 per person (approximately £287).

In addition to watching the game, the must-have break for lovers of both sports features 18 holes of golf at two of the finest courses in Lisbon’s Costa Azul region, Quinta do Peru Golf and Country Club – host of several European Challenge Tour events – and Ribagolfe, dubbed the ‘Valderrama of Portugal’.

Three nights bed and breakfast hotel accommodation is also included in the ‘Derby & Golf Weekend in Lisbon’ package together with transfers to and from the golf courses, with prices based on two people sharing a twin room.

Launched earlier this year, Orizonte – Lisbon Golf offers the chance to play some of the leading courses in close proximity to Portugal’s capital together with exceptional value for money on a wide range of accommodation options across the region.

In addition to Quinta do Peru Golf & Country Club and Ribagolfe, which offers two outstanding 18-hole courses, Aroeira features two championship layouts including Aroeira I, venue for the Portuguese Open in 1996 and 1997.

Golfers can also enjoy the 7,000-plus yards challenge at Santo Estevão, while the extensive practice facilities available across the venues help make Orizonte the ideal option for individuals and groups looking to book a stay, play and learn package.
