Jordan Spieth is ridiculously good

Tell me something I didn’t know, I bet you’re saying. Craig Dennett highlights the importance of the 22-year-old’s trusty Scotty Cameron 009 Prototype putter at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.

But it wasn’t just the short stick that Spieth excelled with, as he led the field in a host of categories including strokes gained tee-to-green, most birdies and most eagles. And he almost had the most albatrosses too, coming this close at the par-5 18th…

Party for Poults

It’s not every day you turn 40 – and it looks as though Ian Poulter had a good night celebrating before jetting off to Malaysia for the EurAsia Cup.

Poulter, along with Lee Westwood, are captain Darren Clarke’s picks for the tournament and it’s clear that the Englishman will have to up his game in 2016 if he’s to avoid having to rely on a captain’s pick for the Ryder Cup for a third match in a row. Blink and you’ll miss it

Naturally, the Masters Twitter account (@TheMasters) is pretty quiet at this time of year. But yesterday, there was action for only the second time since last April when Jordan Spieth went wire-to-wire for his first major win.

Sergio hangs out with Ronaldo

It’s a well known fact that Sergio Garcia is a massive Real Madrid fan, and he said in a Golf.com interview that if he had an hour to do anything in the world it would be to play for his favourite team.

And for his birthday on Friday, Garcia, who owns his own football team, FC Borriol, met up with former Galactico Ronaldo at a charity poker event, with the Brazilian superstar taking to social media to post with Garcia.

Ronaldo’s message translates as: “Today is #poker play for a good cause with my friend Sergio Garcia.” But how did Sergio get on? Well, he didn’t make it past the second day sadly.

Jason Day is so popular…

That even Rickie Fowler’s grandma wants his autograph! With the Aussie’s status as a major winner and a brief stint as world No.1 boosting his popularity somewhat, the PGA Tour captured this image at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions over the weekend which showed Fowler’s grandma at the front of the queue waiting for Day.
