GEAR SHORTS

The curtain has officially closed on the regular European Tour season.

The game’s best players are heading to Shanghai for the final WGC event of 2016 and strong rumours have been spreading that we could see Rory McIlroy return with a new set of metalwoods this week.

Over the weekend, reports emerged on social media that Rory McIlroy has been testing the TaylorMade M2 driver and fairway woods in recent weeks and he is now ready to put them in play.

Whether these are Rory’s Trackman numbers is yet to be confirmed but be sure to keep your eyes on his bag ahead of this week’s event.

Getting every part of your game to click at the same time is the goal for any golfer at any level.

When your performance on the greens is all that’s letting you down, you sometimes have to give your putter a serious talking to.

That’s exactly what Pablo Larrazabal did with his Odyssey Works V-Line Versa putter after the first round of the Portugal Masters.
