Almost every amateur golfer fears hitting their shot into a bunker and enters the sand with trepidation as the possibility of putting a big number on the scorecard looms large.

Here, bunkered Tuition Panel member Scott Clark, Director of Golf at Prestonfield Golf Club, shows you how to boost your bunker play, speaking about the positioning of the sand wedge in relation to your body and how it should encourage you to get lower.

It’s also vital to cement your position in the sand because you need a strong base as it can be a very unpredictable surface. Try it out for yourself and see if you can see an improvement in your bunker play.
