One of Scotland’s most beloved golf resorts, The Machrie, re-opened last year and, to celebrate, we’re giving one bunkered reader the chance to win a two-night golf break there for four people.

Located on the Hebridean island of Islay, both the hotel and links at The Machrie have been the subject of a complete renovation.

The course, where golf has been played since 1891, has been rejuvenated by former Ryder Cup player D.J. Russell, the man behind both the Fidra and Dirleton courses at Archerfield Links.

• REVIEW: Does the ‘rejuvenated’ Machrie live up to the hype? You bet it does.

For this fantastic prize, we’ve teamed-up with The Machrie to give away two nights’ accommodation for four adults sharing two twin rooms, two fourballs on The Machrie Links, a round on the six-hole par-3 Wee Course, use of the Hebrides putting area, a full Scottish breakfast and return flights from either Edinburgh or Glasgow courtesy of Loganair.

From May 2019, Loganair will operate daily flights from Edinburgh to Islay, in addition to the regular Glasgow route.

How to win

For your chance to win this amazing prize, simply answer the following question:

Who redesigned the course at The Machrie?

A: Ben Crenshaw

B: D.J. Russell

C: Colin Montgomerie
