The game of golf may well be in its infancy in Poland, but when it comes to the country’s diverse offering of world-class golf courses already in place, there is undoubtedly a new kid on the block in the industry’s tourism market.

In particular, the stunning northern regions of Warminsko–Mazurskie, Pomorskie and Zachodniopomorskie provide golfers looking to experience somewhere new with an abundance of immaculately-conditioned golf courses, offering a variety of challenges for all abilities.

Warminsko–Mazurskie Region

The modern and dynamically developing region in the North East of the country is famed for its beautiful nature and is a true golfers’ paradise. There are two excellent golf courses within 100km of Gdansk Airport and, from January 2016, a new regional airport will open near Olsztyn, the capital of the region which is well worth a visit in its own right, since it is known as the land of a thousand lakes.

Zachodniopomorskie Region

Modry Las

Designed by Gary Player, Modry Las (above) is regarded as one of the most beautiful courses in Europe and is richly deserving of its position amongst the top 100 golf courses in Europe. Playing host to a number of Polish PGA tournaments, the 18-hole championship course winds along the lake’s edges, stretches around ponds and, with Gary Player’s strategically placed signature bunkers, really challenges all golfers to play their best.  Fully-equipped on-site cottages offer guests a superb environment in which to unwind after the round.

Situated in the Wolin National Park, this is one of the oldest golf courses in Poland. With a superb golf complex of the highest quality and natural landscape, this is the ideal place to enjoy a round of golf and relax. Amber Baltic GC has played host to various international tournaments, such as the International European Amateur Ladies Championship, EGA Challenge Trophy Boys and PGA Challenge.

Hailed as one of the most popular courses in Poland, Binowo Park GC is located just 20 minutes from Szczecin city centre and is the perfect place for your Polish golf vacation. The 18-hole course opened in 2000 and the design is based on natural beauty of Szczecin Landscape Park in Binowo. Beautiful views from the hills on the front nine and natural water hazards on the back nine offer a breath-taking experience throughout the round.

One of Poland’s newest courses, Kamień Country Club was designed by American, David Donallan, and is situated in the lovely small town of Grębowo in the midst of beautiful forests and grasslands. The 18-hole championship golf course weaves its way through the trees on the front nine whilst the back nine is more open, but beware of a series of water hazards that have been cleverly positioned.
