In 2025, it feels like there has been a huge jump in popularity of the mini driver on the golf course. But, which brand makes the best mini driver? Let’s take a closer look at the best mini drivers of 2025.   The mini driver is perhaps one of the most versatile clubs you can have in the bag. These clubs feature slightly more loft than a traditional driver, but with less loft than a 3-wood.   Additionally, these clubs can be hit from either the tee, or from off the deck. Whether you’re faced with a tight fairway, or a hole where you’ve not got enough room to hit your driver, or you’re looking to get a shot running up to the green on a par-5, a mini driver could be the way to go.   So, which one should you be buying? Well, in 2025, several brands are getting in on the act and bringing out their own. So far, Callaway, PXG and TaylorMade have released mini drivers that are proving popular. But, as the year goes on, we’re certain we’ll see other brands make their mark. So, watch this space!   For now, here’s the best mini drivers you can buy in 2025.

Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Ti 340
A popular mini driver that will do well from the tee box

PROS

  • Lovely looks from the Paradym Ai Smoke range
  • The largest head in this buying guide which will help those looking for a driver replacement
  • We love the look of the Paradym Ai Smoke range

CONS

  • Not the easiest to hit from the fairway
Available for £449 from Callaway
Although this isn’t part of the brand-new Elyte range from Callaway, the Paradym Ai Smoke mini driver is a worthy option that will be fantastic for many reasons. Let’s get into it.

This is, as the name would suggest, a 340cc head. That’s noticeably smaller than the comparable driver, so it offers something that might be more manageable for many golfers. As well as that, there’s two loft options available which will suit different needs. An 11.5° and a 13.5° head mean you can fit them into your set depending on what lofts the rest of your woods are. But, if you want more adjustability, then you can find that with a 12 gram and a four gram weight on the sole, which can be moved to alter ball flight. There’s also the technology that users of the Paradym Ai Smoke will be familiar with, which will help you hit more fairways.

Overall, this is an excellent option for golfers in 2025 looking for a mini driver. A cracking option from the tee that can serve many different purposes depending on how you set it up.

PXG Secret Weapon
PXG Secret Weapon
A new addition from a brand that has been very busy in 2025

PROS

  • Adjustability is very impressive
  • A smaller head helps to make this super adjustable
  • Fairly friendly from the deck

CONS

  • Other brands offer two head options for different lofts
Available for £429 from PXG
A new club for 2025 from PXG that might have the coolest name of a golf club we’ve seen. The Secret Weapon is part of the Black Ops range, which is home to one of our favourite drivers on the market right now. Here’s what you can expect.

In the Secret Weapon, you’ve got a head that is 300cc. That’s slightly smaller than the Callaway option, which might make it more suitable for those who want a higher flight when hitting from the fairway. Although there is just one head option available, it can be adjusted to play between 11.5° and 13.5°, so you’ll be able to tune the head to your needs. Adjustability is a big feature of the Secret Weapon. As you’ll see, there’s four adjustable weights on the sole of the club, which can help to alter the ball flight in both draw/fade bias and high/low flight. There is two 15g weights and two 2.5g weights available as standard, but several other options are there to be used at fitting to give you the best performance possible.

The most recent addition to the mini driver world is certainly a high performing one. Full of adjustability and with impressive tech, this will be hard to beat.

TaylorMade BRNR Mini Driver Copper
TaylorMade BRNR Mini Copper driver
A reinvention of a classic club can make a big difference to your bag

PROS

  • Striking looks that are hard to beat in this category
  • K Sole helps with turf interaction, making this a good performer off the deck
  • Proven TaylorMade technology helps with mishits

CONS

  • Some might benefit from more up to date tech in other models
Available for £379 from TaylorMade
The mini driver offering from TaylorMade is certainly a popular one. In 2025, the most recent addition to this line is the BRNR Mini Copper driver. It’s worth noting that the BRNR Mini Copper driver is the same as the original BRNR Mini, but with a different colour scheme. Whichever colour you pick, you’ll get a cracking looking driver, but there’s plenty tech in these heads. Let’s take a look.

This mini driver is available in two lofts, with 11.5° and 13.5° heads available. It’s worth noting that this is a 304cc head, so slightly larger than the PXG club, but roughly the same size. This driver is a reiteration of a classic design from the ‘90s, but there’s up to date technology. Twist Face and the Thru Slot Speed Pocket technologies help to keep your mishits on track, while the four degree loft sleeve really does help to make this versatile. Also, adjustable weighting on the sole can be flipped, with a 1.5g and 13g weight coming as standard.

This is a very popular option on the professional circuits and when you hit it, it will be clear to see why. With the adjustability in this club, you can have a piercing flight, or something that will launch higher. An excellent option.
