Hot off the back of the launch of the new Big Bertha V Series in August, Callaway has revealed two new drivers to complete its line-up for 2015 – the Big Bertha Alpha 815 and Big Bertha Alpha 815 Double Black Diamond.
The original Alpha, which blasted its way into the market at the end of last year, was aimed towards the better player, but these new models are designed to fit a broader range of abilities.
The new Alpha 815 is a more forgiving, player orientated model than the Alpha 815 Double Black Diamond but both feature Callaway’s Gravity Core technology.
The Gravity Core was first included in the original Alpha, and allows you to adjust the centre of gravity up or down, optimising ball speed locations to wherever you usually hit the ball off the face.
It has also been enhanced this year with the addition of colour on both ends, which is visible through the sole so you know what position it’s in with silver symbolising it’s in the low position and the black saying it’s in the high position.
Callaway is particularly excited about the new RMOTO technology which is included in both models. RMOTO tech helps to save weight and move the centre of gravity lower in the clubhead. This increases the MOI of the head for more forgiveness, increasing ball speeds across the face.
The Alpha 815 and Alpha 815 Double Diamond also boast a multi material construction that Callaway has developed to give the lowest centre of gravity, more forgiveness and a hot face, which can be combined with the adjustability given by Callaway’s OptiFit technology.
