• Cobra Golf introduce Max family for higher handicappers
• Boasts increased forgiveness, launch angles and distance
• The all-new range will be available from January 15

COBRA GOLF

Fresh from the release of the King range, Cobra Golf has now introduced the Max family, ideal for higher handicap golfers with the main features being increased forgiveness, launch angles and distance.

The Cobra Max driver (RRP £199) has been built with a shallow face, offset hosel design and draw bias club weighting, featuring an increased length-to-width ratio which is the largest possible size approved by the USGA. This allows players to have an increased sweet spot and more forgiveness on off-centre hits, while the Speed Channel around the edge of the driver face helps to offer incredible distance.

The technologies found in the Cobra Max driver are replicated throughout the metalwood line with fairway (RRP £149) and hybrid (RRP £129) clubs, and Cobra Golf director of product marketing Jose Miraflor believes the range can really promote enjoyment for those that find the game that little bit tougher.

“At Cobra Golf, we want everyone to love the game and have fun on the course no matter their skill level,” he said. “So we designed the Cobra Max collection to give higher handicap golfers increased accuracy and distance over every shot – to help them enjoy the game even more.”

Completing the family is the Cobra Max iron set which, similar to the ‘player’ iron products, boasts a progressive design to improve the performance of each club and they’ve also been constructed using Cobra’s TECFLO (Technology Enhanced Cavity Feel Launch Optimisation) system.

The eight-piece progressive iron set features half hollow irons (4i-8i) along with a deep undercut cavity-back design (9i & PW), while the GW has a specialty muscle back shape and tour contoured sole.

The eight-piece progressive combo set, meanwhile, features 4-6 hybrids, 7i and 8i half hollow irons, 9i and PW cavity-back irons and a GW wide sole specialty wedge.

The Cobra Max family will be available from January 15, 2016 at the following prices. Eight-piece iron set (£399), 6i+4h, 5h combo set in steel (£549) and all graphite (£599), and women’s combo set (£599). For more information, visit www.cobragolf.com.
