You’d be forgiven for not knowing the name of Cristobal Del Solar before this week, but after his record-breaking round of 57, he’s the talk of the golf world. So what clubs are in the Chilean’s bag?

The 30-year-old breezed round the Pacos course at Bogata, to shoot the lowest round in a PGA Tour sanctioned event in history.

That round, unsurprisingly, propelled him to the top of the leaderboard at the Astara Championship, where he holds a four shot lead after the first round on 13-under-par. Spare a thought for the two players on nine-under-par, who are four shots adrift of the lead.

• How Cristobal Del Solar made PGA Tour history

The course is a par-70, which sits around 9,000 feet above sea level. However, that’s the first time anyone has broken the 60 barrier on the layout that is known for its narrow greens.

Del Solar’s round included two eagles and nine birdies and, unsurprisingly, no dropped shots. What makes his feat even more remarkable is the fact that on his final hole, Del Solar actually had a very good look at a 56. After he hit his approach to around ten feet, the Chilean narrowly missed a putt for a closing birdie, which would have got him to 14-under-par for his round.

But what clubs were in the bag for Del Solar’s incredible round of 57?

Cristobal Del Solar is a PXG staffer, and he uses the brand’s irons and wedges. As well as that, he games Ping woods and has a Ping Crossover in the bag.

The putter, which was incredibly hot over the now famous round is a Bettinardi counterbalance model.
