The drivers used by the longest hitters in professional golf

If you want to win at the top level of golf, it certainly helps to drive the ball a long way. And to hit the ball a long way, it helps to have the right driver in your hands. So, what clubs are the longest hitters in professional golf using?

A quick look at the top tens in driving distance on the DP World Tour, LIV Golf League and PGA Tour show that if you’re hitting it a long distance, you’re probably going to be near the top of the leaderboard.

After all, everyone who plays the game knows that a few extra yards off the tee can make a big difference. Suddenly, par-5s become reachable in two, and short par-4s can be reached in one.

And it got us thinking. What makes and models of drivers are the longest golfers in the men’s pro game using?

Of course, it’s not all down to equipment, but it certainly plays a big part in ensuring the best, and longest, in the world, can get the most out of their power.

So, we trawled through the top ten longest drivers on the DP World Tour, LIV Golf League and the PGA Tour, and sought to find out what driver they’ve got in the bag in 2024.

Now, we know that these things can change, but we’ve found the most up to date info we can on each player and the driver they most recently had in play, to give you an idea of what the longest pros are gaming. We’ve also included their average driving distance on that tour.

Before we get into the list, there’s a couple interesting things that stand out. No specific model is featured more than the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond, with seven of the 30 players on our list putting it in play.

And of course, there’s the Bryson factor. The leader in driving distance on the LIV Golf League uses a Krank Formula Fire driver, something you’re not going to see in many, or any, other bags in pro golf.
