Spikeless fans will have plenty of style choice, thanks to Ecco’s latest range

Hybrid options: The classically-styled Tour Hybrid model headlines Ecco’s spikeless offering for 2013

Danish brand Ecco has unveiled a broad range of styles in its 2013 men’s golf collection – including the first introduction of the Tour Hybrid model, the game’s first crossover featuring a refined, traditional leather upper design.

Allowing you to step from the street, onto the course and into the clubhouse, the Tour Hybrid features Ecco’s Street EDTS outsole, which is also present in the hugely successful Biom Hybrid and Golf Street models.

It boasts a patented configuration of around 100 moulded traction bars and more than 800 traction angles. These are made from high-durable and water-resistant TPU and give great grip in all conditions.

“Golf Street was followed by BIOM Golf, then BIOM Hybrid and now Tour Hybrid,” says Michael Waack, head of global golf at Ecco.

“Each year, our innovations set the bar even higher and gain Ecco legions of new fans worldwide who appreciate the unique comfort, performance and style characteristics of our shoes.”

The new Ecco Tour Hybrid comes with an RRP starting from £160.

Other new developments in the 2013 collection – which will be worn in competition by Tour stars Fred Couples, Graeme McDowell, Thomas Bjorn, Thorbjørn Olesen, Thongchai Jaidee, Stuart Appleby, Bradley Dredge and Andreas Hartø – include:

BIOM Hybrid

The game’s first hybrid model is now available in a variety new colours and an alternative upper pattern.

RRP: £160

BIOM Golf

Crafted using decades of ECCO research into the human foot, the first Natural Motion golf shoe has been crafted in Calderra leather. This creates a unique matte finish that adds a rich, racing-inspired look to the game’s most advanced swing platform.

RRP: From £185

Golf Street

The shoe that started a revolution continues to evolve and is now available in Sport, Luxe, Textile, Camel and Hydromax versions.

RRP: £115
