Innovative Danish footwear manufacturer ECCO has unveiled the next generation of its popular Natural Motion technology with the release of the new BIOM Hybrid 2 shoes.

Also featuring the brand’s award-winning E-DTS sole, the new Biom Hybrid 2 is 15% lighter than the original model thanks to an extra-thin midsole that helps to keep you close to the ground. The dual-density TPU outsole also helps to give you more stability where you need it most.

The Biom Hybrid 2 is also extremely weather resistant as ECCO has treated the yak leather uppers with its HYDROMAX formula, which offers great protection against the elements.

Michael Waack, head of global golf at ECCO, said: “We’ve taken what many have declared the world’s most comfortable golf shoe and made it even better.

“That we can do this is a testament to our skill as shoemakers and the drive that pushes us to pioneer new innovations season after season.”

Alongside the Biom Hybrid 2, ECCO launched the new BIOM G2 shoes, which are nearly 20% lighter than previous ECCO offerings. Available in waterproof GORE-TEX and weather-resistant HYDROMAX options, each pair is made using premium yak leather uppers and has been created on an anatomical last shape that has been developed by scanning feet of 2,500 athletes to provide ideal levels of support.

They also offer outstanding ground control, with the thinner midsole bringing you closer to the playing surface for more stability.

“Innovation informs everything we do at ECCO,” added Waack. “The result of this unquenchable thirst for perfection is a golf collection that continues to evolve, as witnessed by the latest advancement of our award-winning BIOM Golf model.”

ECCO’s new releases – pricing

The new BIOM Hybrid 2 is available with an RRP of £170, while the new BIOM G2 model is available for £210 (Hydromax) or £225 (Gore-Tex). For more information, visit eccogolf.co.uk
