Fujikura has over 25 years experience when it comes to golf shafts and it has announced the all-new 2024 PRO Series woods range.

Fujikura have some of the most played wood shafts on tour. For example, the Ventus TR, which we see in the drivers and woods of some of the best players in the world, is a huge hit.

The new PRO Series shafts feature Advanced Bend Profile (ABP) Design, a technology led by fitter feedback and proven through ongoing enso analytics.

So, what can you expect from the new range? We’ve attempted to answer some questions you might have about it.

How does this new design work?

ABP targets specific locations within a section of the shaft to substantially alter stiffness, independent of that section’s overall bend profile. In the same way Fujikura directly targeted torque and twist within certain sections of Ventus TR, ABP takes the same approach with varying bending stiffness. By addressing stiffness in such specific and precise locations, performance can be shaped and enhanced by amplifying the overall feel, stability, and playability of the shaft.

The new PRO Series also combines premium, lower resin content materials and accelerated taper, building on Fujikura’s established and proven product history of custom bend profiles.

What shaft options are there?

There are two launch profiles within the 2024 PRO Series. Firstly you have the PRO Blue. This is a mid launch/mid-low spin option suited for a wide-range of player types and swing speeds offering increased launch without excessive spin and a smooth overall feel. Secondly we have the PRO Black shaft. This has a low launch/low spin option that maintains the same weight and ABP profile as PRO Blue in a stouter configuration.

Where does this shaft offering sit compared to other Fujikura shafts?

Providing golfers with outstanding feel and ball speed increases, the PRO series showcases several of its unique performance benefits from analytics and research derived from the successful Ventus line. It sits between the Vista Pro and Ventus lines, the PRO line has historically been a favourite of club fitters offering a versatile series of options for drivers and fairway woods in a wide range of weights and flexes.

“We are hugely excited about the possibilities opened up by ABP. The new PRO Series will give custom fitters two excellent performance driven options, and we’re looking forward to the benefits that this series of shafts will bring to players of all skill levels.” said Spencer Reynolds, Fujikura Product and Brand Manager.
