Galvin Green unveils stretchiest waterproof jacket ever

Premium waterproof golf apparel brand Galvin Green has today launched their most stretchy line of waterproof jackets to date.

Both the Ames and Amy, for men and women respectively, are the brand’s stretchiest ever jackets. These are crafted from highly breathable Pertex Shield Stretch fabric, in a long-lasting three-layer construction.

“We’ve been a pioneer in golf waterproofs for more than 30 years and this marks another landmark innovation in the sector.

“Working closely with Pertex and through rigorous testing, we’ve ensured the advanced fabric performs to our exceptionally high standards and are delighted to welcome it into our market-leading DRYVR product range,” said CEO Nicholai Stein.

As well as the Ames and Amy jackets, the latest release from the Swedish brand includes a total of 21 waterproof garments for men, women and juniors. These are supported by a wide range of layering pieces to provide protection and comfort when out in the worst of the conditions.

As you would expect, both the Ames and Amy jackets are 100% waterproof and windproof, ideal for when the weather turns nasty but you need to keep playing.

These jackets come in six eye catching colourways, with smooth ‘slide and glide’ interior; front pockets to keep hands dry; chest width tabs for extra comfort and protection; plus adjustable cuffs and shaped sleeves for the perfect fit and easy movement.

It’s not just the brand-new Ames and Amy jackets that are launching. Also in the range you’ll find the matching Alan waterproof trousers, which are made from the same super stretchy fabric and is available in 17 different sizes in waist and leg length options.

The Alan trousers comes in Navy, Black and Cool Grey and incorporates an elasticated waist and drawstring; front pockets with fleece lining for added warmth and a back pocket; plus an adjustable leg width at the hem.

It’s not just the new range that you can look to Galvin Green for. Also in the line is the popular Amos hooded jacket, which featured in bunkered’s Editor’s Choice 2024 guide. This full zipped jacket is perfect for those who want the added layer of protection of a hood in their waterproofs. This is now available in black, navy and sharkskin.

In the women’s range, golfers can pick from three waterproof jackets and two trouser options. The Amy jacket leads the way, with three colourways available. This jacket offers the same performance enhancing features as the men’s Ames jacket, with a sleeker silhouette.

There is also innovation available in the women’s waterproof trousers range from Galvin Green, with the matching Angie in the stretchy Pertex fabric available in waist sizes from XS up to XXL, plus short and regular leg lengths to complete the ultimate rainsuit for women golfers.

Once again, many layering options complete the women’s range, ideal for keeping warm when the weather goes south.

Finally, the junior collection is bolstered with the addition of the Golf Green and Blue/Navy colours on the popular Robert Gore-Tex jacket, while the new Rico Insula hoodie and DNA print Rocco shirt in Ventil8 Plus fabric are the other new garments aimed at golfers aged nine to 15.
