GEAR SHORTS: Furyk's 58 clubs, Stenson's gold putter

2016 08 Furyk

Jim Furyk carded a historic 58 in the final round at the Travelers Championship with many of the same clubs he used to shoot 59 in the BMW Championship in 2013.

Furyk carded the lowest round in PGA Tour history on Sunday and he did so while still using Callaway RAZR X Forged irons and Odyssey Versa #1W putter that he's had in the bag for a number of years.

In fact, Furyk isn't one to change his gear very often at all. He only put two new products in the bag for the 2016 season. The first of those was the Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 816 3-wood, while the other was the new Callaway Chrome Soft golf ball.

Interestingly, Furyk uses KBS Tour 115R shafts in his irons, making him the only person on Callaway's PGA Tour staff to use regular shafts in his irons.
